Member’s Contributions

Moving Freely Martial Arts is a non-profit martial arts club dedicated to leaving the world a little better for us having lived.

In a nutshell

All of us have our own organizations we support. At Moving Freely, we support Action Against Hunger. All contributions to the club will be donated to this charity. Period.

Contributing By The Class Session:

If you only take a class or two, but can attend them regularly, this is your best choice. Every class session has a published ‘class fee’. At the beginning of each class session, you simply write a check for that class fee, and you are set for the next 2, 3 or more months.

Contributing By The Class Hour:

If you can only make a few classes or zazen sessions  a month, you simply track the number of hours you attend, and at the end of the month, write a check at the following rate:

  1. Regular Member – $5/hour
  2. Student / Military / Retired / Additional Family – $3/hour

Contributing By The Month:

If you attend more than 6 hours of aikido, sword or staff classes per week, then your best choice is to pay a flat monthly rate:

  1. Regular Member – $95/month
  2. Student / Military / Retired / Additional Family – $55/month

For zazen only members, if you attend more than 5 sessions per month, then you best choice is to pay a flat monthly rate:

  1. Regular Member – $25/month
  2. Student / Military / Retired / Additional Family – $15 / month

Lastly …

Contributing is strictly on the honor system – we do not track who has and who has not contributed. (As in, we won’t bug you and don’t expect to come ask us whether or not you already paid for this class.)

We can only accept cash or checks (payable to Jim Redel). At the end of each month, Jim will write a check to Action Against Hunger.
